Russian restaurant "Sudar"

At the Russian country houses landlords always arranged something unusual and fabulous, because they wanted to amaze guests. Beauty and neatness of the house showed refined taste and sense of style. However, your imagination can be amazed even now. At the restaurant “Sudar” was opened a summer veranda, warmly named “Abat-jour”. It consists of several compositions: the veranda itself for 24 seats, and also summer arbors in the form of a coffee-pot, teapot and a sugar bowl. On the teapot one can notice even an ornate tea-strainer. The whole composition was made according to the old technology of the Russian willow, raised specially for the “Sudar” near the city Volokolamsk. And since in the 19th century the French style was fashionable, all arbors and veranda are toned in light colors with patina.

We also refreshed the restaurant menu, included there summer salads, snacks, soups and hot dishes, cooked on wood charcoals.

"Sudar" is not only a stilted address to a man. It's our style, careful attitude toward "old traditions" and considerable respect for every guest, who came to visit our restaurant.

Our hospitable restaurant was opened in 1995.

To visit "Sudar" means to visit a cozy house, where we reconstituted the climate of the noble family manor at the close of the 18th - beginning of the 19th century. In the "Sudar's" library you have an opportunity to look through some volumes and have diner in silence in the chimney-corner, it's nice to dream here, sitting on the little cushions in the sofa room, where you can find an old clock collection and a portrait collection. You can also retire from everybody in the room of "Sudarynya", having a look at old family photos, butterfly collection and pictures that were brought from some journey.

No one Russian restaurant has such dishes as we have.

"Sudar" has Russian cuisine and all dishes were reconstituted according to recipes from old cookbooks. Reading menu is like taking part in the process of cooking this or that delicious dish. In the menu, as in the cookbook, every dish is precisely described.

At nights in our restaurant you can hear quite piano chords, old city romances or modern music.

Generally speaking, everything is very symbolical. Our restaurant "Sudar" is situated in the historical place of Moscow, near the famous Triumphal Arch, Borodino panorama and quite close to Poklonnaya Hill.

In our restaurant we have two rooms for 20-25 and 80-100 seats, a separate VIP-room for 16 persons.

Restaurant opens at 12 p.m. and works till the last visitor.
